The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are new items that boost your stats. You can upgrade your armor, weapons and trinkets with these.
To determine probabilities, item upgrades are based on "upgrade pity". This system is designed to limit the risk of losing money and offer security when upgrading.
Armor
The item upgrader gives players with the possibility to upgrade the level of equipment of their weapons, armor and trinkets. The upgrades are applied to the equipment by visiting an upgrader NPC with appropriate currencies. The stats of an item are also upgraded when it is upgraded.
This NPC is found in all major cities and is located in the corner of the city square near a teleport point. The NPC can be utilized to upgrade any item of armor or weapon, except for items that require an adventure to acquire or craft.
Note: The item used to upgrade your gear is destroyed for ever. There is no way to have multiple upgrades applied to one piece of equipment. Attempting to apply an upgrade using one already applied will cause the previous upgrade to be overwritten.
Upgrading your gear is a great method to make the most of your gear and increase your damage, survivability and overall power. For instance, if have new Benthic gear from War Within Mythic Dungeon, it will be level 385 by default. It can be upgraded to a higher level by using [Prismatic Manapearlsor [Prismatic Manapearls]. Upgrades to your PvE equipment are available to all accounts. Upgrades to your PvP equipment will require an appropriate currency like [Valorstones] or [Harbinger Crests(Harbinger Crests). The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade other items of gear in the same armor slot is reduced after the first upgrade on the equipment.
Weapons
Weapons are an essential element of any successful character. They can be used to fend off an evil monster, kill an intruder or compete in a target shooting contest. They can also hang on the wall. Whatever way you decide to use a specific weapon, you should be aware that it can be upgraded and will evolve with your playstyle over time.
You can upgrade your weapon by visiting a blacksmith that has an instrument workbench. Located in the right part of the Roundtable Hold hub area, Blacksmith Hewg is a good option to upgrade your main weapon. Iji is a Smithing Master located in the northwestern region, "Road to the Manor" located in Liurna. Smithing Master Iji improves both weapons and armor.
As a rule upgrading an item will raise its weapon's level by 5. Azerite weapons (see below) or other special weapons will have their ilvl increase by 15 for all upgrades. The player can only have one upgrade active at a time. If you attempt to apply an upgrade to a weapon that has another upgrade in place, it will fail and the weapon will go to the previous level.
In addition to boosting the item level of a weapon, upgrades also give it additional stats that can be used to boost its power. Some of these upgrades are passive, while others can provide increased damage, faster attacks, improved range, or critical strike chance.
Ashes of War weapons are given rewards when certain bosses of raid are defeated. Other upgrades can be applied to weapons that have Whetblades, which are rare items that can unlock new Affinities that you can infuse your weapon with.
Once a weapon is fully upgraded the weapon will continue to receive additional upgrades as long as the player has the correct upgrade materials and currency on the table. You should be aware that weapons are only able to reach ilvl 25, and no higher. This means that players should only upgrade their weapons after they've acquired the maximum possible amount of upgrades from regular and Whetblade items.
Trinkets
Trinkets are a special item that offer a range of Boosts. They can be upgraded just like other equipment by interacting with an Item Upgrader NPC.
Stardew Valley is the place where you will find an item upgrading tool. To use it, first you must remove any weapons or armor. The NPC will then appear with the red banner "Equiped" over his head.
You can upgrade your weapon or armor by choosing him. To achieve this, you must bring the appropriate items and currency to the NPC. The NPC will then upgrade your gear by one level.

Each trinket is able to be upgraded beyond the standard upgrade. These can increase the effectiveness of an item, but could require more materials or skill to obtain. Some are available by interacting with a NPC during a quest, while others are available as drops from dungeons and battlegrounds.
The Item Upgrader NPC is available at a variety of locations throughout the world of games. Locations are displayed on the map. Certain NPCs offer upgrades only for certain types of equipment, whereas others will upgrade any item. Some NPCs offer additional benefits that are accessible to those who complete quests with them. For example the NPC in Shattering Rift offers a new toy when players defeat the Ancient Beast, while the NPC in Eastern Guard Tower provides players with a special trinket.
Set Pieces

This will unlock the stats that were previously restricted to the base item's requirement, or maxed out version. The increased stats make the upgraded version more valuable than its base counterpart. The maximum defense rolls and upgrade requirements for each upgraded version can be found in the table below.
There are exceptions to the rule. For example the item may have intrinsically high requirements that limit its uses (take Whistan's shield from FB sorcs as an example), or the item has a low base stat, which can be upgraded to achieve a high or perfect roll, it will only be able to see the most limited use, and therefore gain minimal value.
