World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses such as PvE damage and crit chance.
If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will increase an additional 3% of the previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets in order to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be acquired through crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be used on equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to a blue level before the component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions of the item using fewer upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using standard methods.
A boost upgrade is a way to modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or by purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.
Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of how much they'll improve after a future reset.
The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it is likely that the item will be obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give a bonus if reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade components that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.
It is commonplace to see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster.
Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the Glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use and also through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that can boost a particular set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is best to place Glyphs in the most important spots on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for example should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The item upgrade system allows players to boost the power of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of an item requires a different amount of components to reach and the cost of upgrading increase as the item gets upgraded.
Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and when enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When a player improves the equipment they have it will be replaced by the new item. visit this backlink can be transformed into the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set bonus. This could be a problem in that it could make the item more expensive if you don't require it.
The upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens to do so. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will come with a level 1 base and a totally different set of bonuses. This is a good option for some items, but it shouldn't be repeated often, as it can use up lots of resources.
Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. The item can be upgraded several times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. Requirements
The item upgrader lets players increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, armor, and trinkets) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense, while upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.
Each item can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The failure rate increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can result in the item reverting back to its original condition, which requires the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.
If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it has gained like the chance to crit attack damage, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time or reloading speed). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.
If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon increases its crit chance, the increase will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a typical equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with a much lower cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items might have different upgrade requirements from normal equipment. For instance they may require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Players will still have to take every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require a different amount of the ingredients needed to upgrade.
